“La science est dans…” — the series
“La science est dans…” — science is in… — is a series of picture books for children published by Éditions Nathan, written by Cécile Jugla and Jack Guichard and illustrated by Laurent Simon. Each 32-page book starts from an everyday object — an egg, a lemon, a sheet of paper, a balloon, a glass — and invites children to experiment and discover the science hidden inside it.
The series received the Roberval Prize for young readers in 2021, and has been published in eight languages: English, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Arabic and Chinese. In the United States it is published as There’s Science in…
