Talk: challenge your brain

An interactive talk for all audiences.
Jack Guichard sheds light on how our brain works, and on ways to develop its abilities, through short tests and entertaining games. Each game leads to a brief, very simple explanation of how our brain handled the experience. He shows that each of us, whatever our age, has their own strengths — and a potential to develop.
Our brain drives our actions and our thoughts. It processes at the same time all the information coming from our surroundings — what we see, hear, touch or smell. To act, it calls on attention to select the relevant information, on working memory to handle it in real time, and on long-term memory to store it and retrieve it at the right moment. All this information, and above all the way it interacts, feeds our different forms of intelligence — knowing that emotions play a fundamental role in every one of these processes.
Jack Guichard began his career as a neuroscience researcher. He is the author of “Défier votre cerveau” and “250 jeux pour booster votre cerveau” (Larousse).
