Talk: artificial intelligence

AI: its history, applications in every field, generative AI and ChatGPT, and a reflection on its benefits and risks.

A fascinating journey to understand artificial intelligence, a technology that sparks so much debate, and the AI-powered tools that are taking an ever larger place in our daily lives.

After explaining what AI is, Jack Guichard retraces the history of its development, starting from research on neural networks, and explains how machines are taught to learn.

He then reveals the everyday objects that use AI without our knowing it — at home, at work and in every field: medicine, industry, space, sport, finance, transport…

He shows what generative AI can produce in a single click, and how to spot the fake news it can create. He explains how to use ChatGPT and how schools can use AI, and he also reveals the dangers this extraordinary tool can bring — and how to avoid them.

You will discover the enormous potential of a powerful tool that we need to understand well in order to master it and build our future.
